Plea for help to stop attack on Rohingyas in Arakan, Myanmar

PRESS STATEMENT
 
ROHINGYA VILLAGES ARE UNDER ATTACK IN BUTHIDAUNG TOWNSHIP, ARAKAN STATE OF MYANMAR.
 
Myanmar Ethnic Rohingya Human Rights Organization Malaysia (MERHROM) is very frustrated on the failure of the United Nations and its Securuty Council to stop the Rohingya Genocide. The fighthing between the Arakan Army (AA) and the Myanmar military has been on going since January 2019. Some Rohingya has been killed by both AA and military during the fighthing.
 
In the recent incident, on 3 April 2019 in afternoon, the AA and the military attacked the Rohingya villages in Buthidaung Township including Ketuparang, Hamsafara, Sansifara, Dabushong. Both AA and military shot Rohingya villagers resulted 5 Rohingya died and 13 injured. This morning we were told that the numbers of Rohingya died and injured has increased. On top of this, 2 military helicopters drops the bomb at Saintoung Hill in Buthidaung Township. We do not know many many died and injured in the bomb blast.
 
The big question remain is WHY both AA and Myanmar military attacked the Rohingya villages if it is true the fighthing is between AA and the Myanmar military. The fighting should take place at ehtnic Rakhine villages. Since January 2019, we do not hear ethnic Rakhine being killed during the fighting. Only ethnic Rohingya being killed.
 
We strongly believe the fighting between AA and the Myanmar military is a mock fighthing. The fighthing between AA and the Myanmar military is part of Myanmar systematic plan to eliminate Rohingya from Arakan State. The fighting between AA and Myanmar military is a Genocide plan. It is very strange most of the fighthing between AA and Myanmar military took place at Rohingya villages
 
These are the real challenges for the United Nations leaderships as the mandated body to stop the Rohingya Genocide. We have been watching worldwide the impact of Rohingya Genocide but until now the Genocide continue. This meant we have not learnt anything from the Rwanda Genocide. The failure for the United Nations to stop Rohingya Genocide is the failure of the United Nations leaderships and the rest of world leaders in this 21stcentury to restore peace and humanity. The world will be watching who will take the challenge and make a difference to the world.
 
In the Myanmar Parliament session in March 2019, a Rakhine Member of Parliament made a strong statement that ethnic Rakhine and AA should not fight with the military but should fight Benggali which refers to Rohingya.
 
We call upon the United Nations Security Council, World Leaders and the International Community to intervene immediately to restore peace and save Rohingya in Arakan State particularly in Buthidaung Township now. Delay intervention caused more Rohingya to die at this last stage of Rohingya Genocide.
Pray for Rohingya, Save Rohingya.
