Stop massacre of Muslims in Sri Lanka, Burma and China

Just yesterday Buddhist extremists in Sri Lanka destroyed several masjids, homes, and Muslim businesses in Sri Lanka right during the curfew as police stood by. This is going on now long after the Easter Sunday terrorism.
This is what the New York Times warned against.
The Burmese military committed genocide against the Rohingya, but the world failed to stop it. Now, Sri Lanka is taking a path which India and China have already taken. Islamophobia is killing these minorities.
But there is still cause for hope. Due to the efforts of the Burma Task Force and our allies, law and policymakers in the U.S. are waking up.

Just five days ago, Vice President Pence tweeted his support for the Rohingya, Uighurs and religious freedom.
Support for Rohingya is now coming from the highest levels of government in the U.S. This is in large part due to our efforts. BTF leadership met with Vice Presidential staff to ensure the Vice President's office took a forceful public position in support of the Rohingya.
Just yesterday, the United Nations issued a forceful call for a financial blockade against the Burmese military officers responsible for carrying out the genocide.
These are the fruits of our work together. The only way to help the Rohingya and stop the spread of Islamophobia is to get democratic governments and international agencies to stand up for freedom and human rights.
There is much you can do to help.
CAPITAL HILL ADVOCACY DAY 2019

CALL YOUR SENATOR
Senate Resolution S. 1186 is the “Bill to Promote Democracy and Human Rights in Burma.” We need to generate support for this bill, as it will allow the U.S. government to levy economic sanctions on Burma's military officials who are complicit in the atrocities against the Rohingya
Call your Senator's office, asking them to sponsor if they have not done so.
DONATE TODAY
Your zakat can help stop the genocide of Rohingyas. Already we have come far, but we still have work to do building the coalition we need to succeed.
May God continue to bless our work together, and may he protect all of those who continue to be in need around the world.
Peace,
Burma Task Force Team
