Three years ago, Dr. Shwe Lu Maung wrote an excellent article that was posted in the Internet to diffuse border problems between Burma and Bangladesh. It was addressed to Dr Dipu Moni, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh. The letter also addressed the unfortunate situation of the Rohingyas who have been repeat victims of ethnic cleansing by the extremist Rakhines and Burmese government.
The current pogroms against the Rohingyas of Burma once again highlight the racial/religious divide inside Arakan and Burma. In our time such a naked aggression against a persecuted minority is unacceptable. All the peace loving people of our planet has a duty to stop this carnage and massacre of Rohingyas.
