Burma Act of 2019

The "BURMA Act of 2019" (H.R.3190) is a bipartisan bill, sponsored by Reps. Eliot Engel (D, NY) and Steve Chabot (R, OH), that would take action to end the genocide in Myanmar.

Tell your U.S. representatives to vote in favor of the "BURMA Act of 2019" (H.R.3190) when it reaches the full House.
The "BURMA Act of 2019" (H.R.3190) would:
  • prohibit expansion of American military assistance to Burma until reforms take place;
  • require reporting on crimes against humanity, including war crimes and genocide;
  • impose trade, visa and financial restrictions on those responsible for these crimes;
  • support investigations to support the eventual prosecution of war criminals; and
  • promote reforms to limit the Burmese military’s stranglehold on Burma’s natural resources.
When the world says "Never Again" after an incidence of genocide, we have to mean it.
We have the responsibility right now to help end the genocide in Burma (Myanmar). Let’s take action together and take action now.
