Dire situation in India - a message from Dr A M Mujahid

The Indian government is now taking Indian Muslims down the same path as the Rohingyas.

This is a path that Nazis took Jews down. It has been repeated in Burma with the Rohingya, and now India is doing the same with its 200 million-plus Muslims:

1) Dehumanize--> 2) Strip citizenship-->3) Take away votes, services & rights --> 4) Lynch, rape, & torture →5) Send to Detention camps--> 6) Deport them→7) The final solution

The new Indian citizenship law allows Indians of any religion who cannot prove their citizenship to become Indian citizens - except for Muslims.

Until last week, this unjust measure was restricted to the Indian state of Assam, where the Indian government stripped 1.9 million Bangla-speaking people of their citizenship. This was right before India re-invaded Kashmir in August.

Today India is the only country for which the Genocide Watch has issued two genocide alerts. This means early warning signs indicate that a genocidal process is underway.
Many Indian scholars have described the current dominant ideology, Hindutva, as fascist in the classical sense.
The governing extremist trio includes the following:
  1. The Boss: Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). It controls the Indian state.
  2. The Prime Minister: Narendra Modi, a lifelong member of RSS, who was banned from entering the United States, UK, & Canada for 10 years for his role in killing Muslims.
  3. The Enforcer: Amit Shah, Second-in-command of the Indian government, the RSS executioner of Gujarat genocide.
Here is what this trio has done in 4 months:
1. Stripped the citizenship of 1.9 million Bangla-speaking people.
2. Started building detention centers.
3. Re-invaded Kashmir and installed a four-month long siege.
4. Banned access to media, United Nations, the U.S., and Indian opposition 1.
leaders.
5. Banned internet in Kashmir for 134 days.

6. Lynched Muslims, Dalits, and Christians publicly on a daily basis.
7. Raided and arrested human rights workers, attacked media into
....submission.
8. Allied itself with white supremacists in USA.
Action items
1. Educating the world about India’s current state is much needed. The ....world is unaware that India is no longer about Gandhi’s resistance by .....peaceful non-violence. Please read this excellent essay by Arundhati .....Roy to understand how fascists have taken over India today.
2.
. Participate in conversations about the state of India. Use the hashtags .....#SaveIndia #StopRSS
3.
Call on Indian-American organizations and leaders to do the following:
..........a)  To share with you a formal resolution of their organization ...............condemning this law.
..........b)  To share with you their plan to fight Hindutva (the name of ................Indian fascism), the way Muslim Americans condemn groups ................like ISIS.
..........c)  Especially call Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi asking him to ...............condemn Hindutva and to withdraw his support of Modi: Phone: ...............(202) 225-3711, (847) 413-1959 @CongressmanRaja
4. Contact the Hindu American Foundation, which has ties to RSS, asking .....them to condemn this new Indian law instead of supporting it as they .....do. Phone: 202.223.8222
5.
Educate your house of worship about this dangerous and insidious ....assault on India’s secular democracy, noting that singling out one ....religious minority paves the way for attacks on other minority groups in .....the long-term.
Talking Points
1. India is going through a very difficult time which is not quite understood in ....the West yet. Read this heartbreaking article to fully understand this ....challenge to humanity: India: Intimations of an Ending | The Nation
2. Freedom, liberty and justice is dying in India whether it is religious ....freedoms, freedom of press, or space for human rights.
3. Even before the new Citizenship Amendment Law (CAB) became the law
....there were already two genocide alerts in place for India.
4. The law paves the way for Muslims to be declared non-citizens by denying
....them the right to vote, to basic services, and ultimately, to be detained and ....deported as has happened in the Indian state of Assam.
5. This law is part of the larger goals of the RSS, the paramilitary militia,
....which now controls India. Its aim has been to make India a Hindu nation, ....and it considers all other religious minorities a threat.
6. The RSS claims that Indian Muslims, who make up about 12 percent of the
....population, are a threat to Hinduism. It sees India’s plurality and ....secularism itself as a threat.
7. The RSS founders declared that Indian Muslims are like the Jews of Nazi
....Germany, and that they must deal with them as Hitler dealt with the Jews.
8. India has a long record of discrimination against minorities in education,
....employment, housing, its media, and in other venues. This law is a ....manifestation of this second-class status of Muslims in the country.

9. Some Indian scholars believe that Hindu extremists have hijacked
....Hinduism as ISIS tried to hijack Islam.
Other points to ponder:
1. It is not only in India’s interest, but it is also in the world’s interest for .....India to remain a beautiful place where co-existence, peace and justice .....flourish.
2. This is not the first move by the RSS against minorities. There has been ....a gradual build up that includes the following:
...........a)  Destruction of hundreds of mosques, attacks on churches, ................ topped by the destruction of the historic Babri masjid, which .................was recently given away to RSS extremists via India’s Supreme .................Court.
...........b)  Rewriting of history with an anti-Muslim perspective.
...........c)  Daily beef lynchings of Muslims, Dalits (untouchables), and ................Christians on the accusation of eating beef.
...........d)  Massacres of Sikhs
...........e)  Brought the Indian caste system to the United States
3. India was not always like this. The RSS successfully indoctrinated many ....Indians into its ideology over time.
4.
Although the political party of RSS had only a 37.4 percent share of the ....total votes, their power is far higher than their votes.
5. Similarly, it will take time, dedication, persistence, and organization to ....challenge its message in the mainstream.
We live in a democracy and our voice matters. This is a privilege and a responsibility. We must speak loudly and forcefully for our brothers and sisters in India. It is not just their right upon us, but our duty as Muslims to stand up against injustice (Quran 4:135).
May God protect India with all of its diversity, by guiding its leaders to the path of success.
