1) Ex-Admiral Ami Ayalon (ex-Dir of Shin Bet): Israel is NOT a normal country. We Israelis don't even agree on our own borders! ![]()
- M ZarniFrom:fanon2005@gmail.comTo:M ZarniBcc:saeva@aol.comWed, Apr 22 at 11:19 AMMr Ayalon is the man whom I pointedly asked in London 2010 why Israel does not honour the Palestinians' right of return to their own country, in the same way Israel offers all Jewish peoples the world over the right of return and guaranteed citizenship.I could hear the pin drop and feel the room felt instantly icy cold when I finished my 2 minutes intervention, sitting face to face at an ornate mahogany long corporate dining table. The occasion of my confrontation with former of Shin Bet, who was named as "a war criminal" in the Goldstone Report and who was honest enough to say that Shin Bet ran "Gaza like an open prison", was a private fundraiser for Haifa University of which Ayalon was Chair of the Board of Trustees.I was THE ONLY non-ZIonist and non-Jewish in the room of about 20 very wealth Zionists. The venue was this billionaires' hotel right on the Duke of Wellington roundabout at Knightsbridge, across from Hyde Park and the InterContinental Hotel.Haifa University was Prof Illan Pape's original employer which sacked him for speaking verified truth about the genocidal truths about the founding of Israel and the Nazi-esque ideology of Zionism. His own mentor, Avi Shlaim at St Antony's College, Oxford told me and my wife at a private dinner in Istanbul that Ilan Pape was the best student he examined. They were both founders of "the New History of Israel", which pose a frontal threat to Israel's Zionist official history.I certainly count that moment as one of my proudest moments in my life of 62 years.Another moment was when I told a small group of Cambridge University college presidents, retired ambassadors and former Archbishop of Canterbury that Britain was fully responsible for the Hell that Palestinians have been living through for over 100 years.I don't slander: I confront face-to-face, ever knowing that I would NOT be invited back to these circles.Their power/status/.aura/prestige matters less than the dust from the bottom of my shoes: truth/my own conscience matters most, to me.If my conscience is strong enough to call my own 50-million Myanmar Nazi Buddhists or genocidal racists it is strong enough to confront the polite society of prestigious, influential high status Zombiees of the Imperialist Western World.
