States are, typically, not your friends or saviors.

This is the distilled analysis of mine for Myanmar people, who have for too long looked to the UN, "the liberal democratic West" as something progressive, supportive and virtuous.  

INGOs, most of which are "profiteers in virtue trading, but never really organically linked to any resistance or liberation movements,  have injected too much false hopes among Myanmar's desperate, impoverished and oppressed people by more than one central actot at home.
