Iran war live: Tehran slams ‘collusion’ as Netanyahu ‘secretly’ visits UAE

 

• Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said the Israeli leader “secretary visited” the United Arab Emirates amid attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran and called the trip “historic”, a revelation which the UAE’s Foreign Ministry has denied.
• Iran’s foreign minister said Netanyahu has “publicly revealed” what was already known by the Iranian security services, warning that “collusion” with Israel is “unforgivable” and those doing so will be “held to account”.
• US Vice President JD Vance said progress is being made with Iran in negotiations to end the war as US President Donald Trump embarks on a state visit to China.
• A mother and her two children were among at least 20 people reported killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon on Wednesday, including at least three strikes on vehicles on a major highway.
• Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 have now killed at least 2,896 people and left 8,824 people injured.

  US court suspends Trump sanctions on UN expert Francesca Albanese

  Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory, has announced that a US court suspended sanctions imposed against her by the Trump administration.

  In a post on X, Albanese said the judge ruled that “protecting the freedom of speech is always in the public interest”.

  Albanese thanked her daughter and husband “for stepping up to defend me, and everyone who has helped so far”.

  “Together we are One,” she added.

  The sanctions, imposed in July 2025, barred Albanese from entering the US and restricted her access to banking.

  The US State Department accused her of “engaging in lawfare” and “unabashed antisemitism, support for terrorism, and open contempt for the United States, Israel, and the West”.

  The department said Albanese had encouraged the International Criminal Court to investigate and prosecute US and Israeli nationals for war crimes in Gaza, without the consent of those countries, as well as sending “threatening” letters to dozens of major US companies, urging them to cut ties with Israel.
