From Electronic Intifada

The Electronic Intifada is hosting a livestream today, 18 June 2026.

1600 UTC / 1900 Palestine time / 1900 Amman / 1700 UK / 1800 CET / 12 pm ET / 11 am CT / 9 am PT

The United States and Iran have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to end the war of aggression launched by Washington and Tel Aviv on 28 February.

President Donald Trump made huge concessions to get Iran to sign, as the world was about to head over an economic cliff. There is no doubt that Iran won the war.

Ali Abunimah will report on what is in the agreement. And although the text confirms Iran’s enormous leverage, it won’t necessarily be smooth sailing, as many difficult issues remain, and Israel, which continues to attack and occupy Lebanon and Gaza, will be determined to unravel the agreement.

In his resistance report, Jon Elmer will cover week 15 of the battle in South Lebanon, where Hizballah shot down an Israeli flagship Heron drone using an advanced air defence missile.

Asa Winstanley speaks with Palestine Action activist Zoë Rogers, who was acquitted of criminal damage after spending 18 months in custody for breaking into an Elbit Systems factory in Bristol and helping destroy drones that could have been used against Palestinians.

Rogers, 22, was one of six activists who participated in the direct action in August 2024.

Nora Barrows-Friedman will start the show with news from Palestine and Lebanon, including a report from contributor Roqayah Chamseddine in Beirut.

Please join Ali, Jon, Asa, Nora and Tamara Nassar for all this and more.
