Millions mourn Khamenei

 

  • Millions of people have attended funeral prayers for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the four members of his family killed in a US-Israeli air strike on his compound on February 28.
  • US President Donald Trump says “neither side will shoot the other during the funeral proceedings” and talks with Iran will continue after the ceremonies.
  • Israeli forces continue attacks on Lebanon and Gaza killing at least one person in southern Lebanon and two Palestinians in Gaza City and Jabalia refugee camp.
  • President Erdogan accuses Israel of undermining the recent memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, adding Turkiye “stands ready to support any effort to achieve peace in the region”.
