Denmark's xenophobic proposal: 'Fair' to confiscate migrant assets

The Danish parliament has backed a controversial, rather shameful proposal to confiscate asylum seekers' valuables to pay for their upkeep. The plan was supported by the second largest party and power-broker in parliament - the Danish People's Party.

The DPP is seen by its critics as xenophobic, but by its supporters as the home of true Danish values.
