Habib Siddiqui: Zionism as parasitic ideology-tool against both native Palestinians and the world at large

There is a worldwide recognition that the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance has defined “antisemitism”, with the ultimate aim of wielding the definition as a weapon of horrendous slander against any oppositional voices regarding the inherently genocidal settler-colonial Zionist Project.

The wholesome-sounding IHRA as a network is an Israel-state-led parasitical operation to manipulate the memories of the Nazi victims, particularly Jews, and misuse the world’s goodwill towards this Jewish people, post-Auschwitz.

This IHRA definition of what counts as fear and loathing of Jews as an identity-based demographic group, however Jewishness is defined, has been used to destroy careers, ruin reputations, deny livelihoods, trigger the process of “cancelation” against any individual who dares criticizing Israel, Zionism and Zionist Project.

From this warped Zionist perspective, everyone who is critical of Israel and its settler colonizing policies and behaviour is a Hitler, and anyone who compares today’s Israel and its genocide and apartheid in the various enclaves of the effectively dismembered legal Palestine is a Nazi.

The project of creating a separate ethno-state for Europe’s unwanted Jews was made possible by the British colonial power, out of its own strategic calculations amidst the 1st World War.

Avi Shlaim, Baghdad-born Israeli British professor of international relations at St Anthony’s College, Oxford, bluntly told his Euro-Supremacist British talk show host, Piers Morgan, “Britain stole Palestine from Palestinian people and gave it to the Zionists (that is, Zionist Jews)”. And simply put the ultimate responsibility on Britain.

In Shlaim’s words, “the genocide in Gaza is the direct result of the Balfour Declaration of 1917.”

From its very inception, the central mission of the Zionist Project has been the establishment and subsequent expansion of the demographically Jewish majority and ideologically Jewish Supremacist country, with no defined borders, other than the imaginary ones rooted in the Hebrew bible as if a religious text were to be treated as a cartographic guide or eternal land lease. The implementation of the project of creating the “Jewish national homeland” on the British-stolen land where 90 % of the inhabitants were Palestinians was one of the greatest crimes of the 20th century, in which not only Britain but also the freshly established United Nations at the end of the WWWII were centrally involved.

Today, the ruling coalition and the Israeli Jewish society are hellbent on recreating – through the standardized Jewish Supremacist narrative of “God’s Chosen people on God’s given land” – the biblical Israel. Importantly, this is the country to be populated by the new type of Jews – “muscular, arrogant, & supremacist”, in the U. of Montreal professor Yakov Rabkin’s words, not “the virtuous and acquiescing type”, who were exterminated by the Nazis, according to my late dearest friend Uncle Lou, Louis J. Walinsky, (1908-2001).

Lou was in charge of the vocational training program designed for the Jewish Displaced Persons (DPs) in the Allied Occupied Germany in 1947-49, in preparation for their emigration to Palestine. And he later went onto hold the leadership position at the World’s Jewish Congress (1979-80).

Once I asked him about his visits to Israel. And his answer verbatim was “not an unadulterated joy.”

I often wonder how Lou might say about Israel he helped built is going down history as a Nazi-Germany-like race supremacist pariah today.

The latest attempt by Zionist leaders to extend their land grab into Gaza was framed as a sovereign UN member state, resorting to its “right to defend” against the “terrorist attacks” by Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza. Conversely, those who oppose Israel’s premediated genocidal response are framed as “supporters” of Hamas, which US-led Western states have designated as “a terrorist organization”.

However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had reportedly let October 7 attacks happen. It was as if he welcomed the murder of Israeli Jews which he could – and did – use as an ostensible pretext for executing Israel’s own Final Solution to the Gaza Question Adolf Hitler had to fabricate the German Polish border incident in order to hold it up the Nazis’ rationale for the invasion and occupation of Poland in 1939 while the Gulf of Tonkin incident was the Lyndon B. Johnson administration’s false flag to attack Vietnam.

A brief detour here to give the context of such attack: “October 7” was really a jail break for the Palestinian resistance, and not dissimilar to the Jewish inmates’ suicidal revolt at the Crematorium Number Four at Auschwitz on the same day in 1944.

As the renowned anti-Zionist American scholar Norman Finkelstein told the influential MAGA media host Tucker Carlson this week, Zionist Israeli leaders have been wondering about what to do with 2.4 million Palestinian people under the democratically elected government of Hammas, who endured defiantly to not leave their ancestral land of Palestine.

Israel’s response was repression with the institutionalization of what the late Johan Galtung defined as structural violence, multiple forms of deprivation against a human population as a matter of policy.

No sooner had Gaza’s Palestinians elected Hamas as opposed to the collaborationist and corrupt Fatah or Palestinian Authority as their representative government to govern the Gaza enclave than Israel and all its Western parton states led by the United States proceeded to place Palestinians in Gaza under “a medieval siege”.

Retired Israeli Admiral Ami Ayalon who directed the Israeli internal security agency known as Shin-bet or Shabak (the Israeli equivalent of Nazi gestapo) openly admitted on many a media occasions that “we ran Gaza like an open-air prison.”

Former US First Lady and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, former Democratic Senator from New York, “We should have made sure that we did something to determine who was going to win.” Certainly, Hamas should not have been allowed to be democratically elected. In other words, Palestinians should never have been allowed their democratic rights!

It is one thing that settler-colonizer groups of typically white supremacists from Europe perpetrate, as a matter of definition, mass atrocities against the indigenous population, that inconveniences the settlers, including ethnic cleansing, erasure of native history, cultural destruction, rewriting history of the place thus colonized as have been the case with the creation of the “New World” in the two Americas, in parts of Africa, on Australian continent and in what is now New Zealand.

But it is entirely a new abysmal low for such a supremacist group to be not only pursuing this old European colonial project under the patronage of powerful and rich imperialist states of the West but also re-shaping the policies and behaviour of these patron states in terms of how they handle their own domestic populations, who are morally outraged by the Zionist Project in its latest manifestation, that is, 24/7 livestreamed genocide in Gaza in particular.

Unfortunately, I was stuck in a heavy traffic in Kent at the hour of pre-recorded interview while trying to get to my study to do the interview. Instead of giving it a miss, I decided to pull into a small park on the way home and participated in the discussion from my car. The mobile phone signal was sufficiently poor, regrettably.

So, I decided to transcribe the bits which I think summed up my 2-cent to the Debate.

“I do want to return to what Professor (David) Miller about Zionism as a threat to the world, not just in sporadic cases (such as) India, Myanmar, Latin America and of course Palestine and all the neighbouring countries (of Israel).

To me, it (Zionism) is a double-colonialism. It is a colonialism in its most evil, sinister and criminal form, not just simply a garden variety racism towards those who are different. Zionism is both an ideology and a strategy. It is an ideology in the sense that it is rooted in European race and faith supremacist civilizational ideology. It is a strategy because it hatches itself as a parasitic operation under the patronage of European imperialism explicitly Zionism is a parasitic ideology as it seeks to grow itself on the host, being first on English Imperialism from 1917 to 1943 and (subsequently) on the USA since the 1940’s when the USA displaced Britain as the preeminent Western power Zionism is even parasitical towards Judaism and Jewish identity.

Anything Zionism and Zionist Project touch turns deadly and devastated.”

As a matter of fact, I find even words such as Nazis or Fascists and “settler colonizers” wholly inadequate to convey how big a threat Israel as the site of Zionist Project and the driving ideology of Zionism pose to the entire humanity.

Some three decades ago, a leading molecular cellular biologist at my alma mater, the University of Wisconsin at Madison, told me pointedly, “I can explain politics from a molecularly cellular biological perspective.” He knew I was a well-known campus political organizer in the mould of the 1960’s anti-Vietnam war radicals.

I was taken aback.

I asked myself quietly how biological sciences could explain human (sociological) affairs, something I was studying as a doctoral student supervised by a leading neo-Marxist educational sociologist and a pioneering expert on Nazis, specifically Himmler’s SS.

That is, until my scholar colleague called my attention to the world of fungi – parasites. She loves walking in the wilderness while doing “mushroom photography”.

Fascists, settler colonizers and classic colonialists operate as independent agents, using their own power, in pursuit of their mission, however dark and inhuman, under the banner of “Civilization”.

But Zionists are engaged in something far more nefarious. They optimize the uses of their hosts, till the latter’s death and destruction. Their Zionist Project has proven to cause the political equivalent of “Summit disease” on any host or patron entity, be it the destruction of democratic institutions and norms, including academic freedom or the right to protest or poisoning the psychocultural climate or creating the terror-filled McCarthyite witch hunt of any oppositional voices in all spheres of the West including the entertainment industry such as the Hollywood and the music industries.
