Do you know how much does it cost American tax payers and travelers in getting their bodies scanned at the airports?
It is a gigantic number, $160 million. As I maintained it is a stupid idea to begin with since anyone trying to blow up people don't have to go through the scanner to doing the harm. The killer can rather choose to detonate in the midst of all those hundreds waiting at any of the security places, if it chooses to! So, why all those fuss about security, which does not buy anyone's security?
Nonetheless, we have gotten used to long queues and harassment, let alone extra fee that are charged for all such measures. Here is an interesting article on the subject that is worth reading.
