Thai PBS clip on the recently concluded international conference on Rohigyas of Myanmar

On August 15, 2012 an international conference on the Question of Citizenship and Human Rights of the Rohingya people of Myanmar (formerly Burma) was held at the campus of the Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. It was attended by participants from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Japan, Canada and the USA. It was organized by Arakan Rohingya Organization-Japan (JARO), Rohingya National Organization in Thailand (RNOT), 
People's Empowerment - Empowering People for a Strong Civil Society, and
ARAKAN-BURMA RESEARCH INSTITUTE (USA). 

The conference was opened by Mr. Salim Ullah of JARO and moderated by Chalida Tajaroensuk, a Thia human rights activist who is involved with People's Empowerment - Empowering People for a Strong Civil Society. Among others Professor Abid Bahar and I spoke in the conference. The conference was recorded and widely covered in the local media, including TV.
