Israel's apartheid rule

Israel remains the other apartheid country in our time outside Myanmar. Its rogue government does not allow any investigation of its crimes against the unarmed civilian Palestinian population. Thus the role of UN Special Reporter is often a 'do-nothing' job.

Makarim Wibisono was the UN special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories. Last week he announced his resignation, the position he held for six years.
The Indonesian diplomat says that he could not fulfill his mandate because Israel has adamantly refused to give him access to the Palestinian people living under its military occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
“Unfortunately, my efforts to help improve the lives of Palestinian victims of violations under the Israeli occupation have been frustrated every step of the way,” Wibisono explains.
Richard Falk is Professor Emeritus of International Law at Princeton University. He discusses the issue in his article, which can be linked by clicking here.
The lives of ordinary Palestinian people are simply miserable. They cannot even fly in the same plane with other Israelis. No kidding! Here is another article by Jonathan Cook to understand Israel's apartheid policy.
