Rohingya teenager killed by Burmese security force

Rohingyas are facing a slow genocide in Buddhist-majority Myanmar. Damned if they stay in, damned if they are trying to flee the den of hatred and intolerance, damned if they are trying to fish to feed their family members. What the Myanmar's government and its Buddhist people are doing has no excuse in our time. But the sad fact is our world appears leaderless with no one to speak for what is right, and right the wrong that they see. Thus, the suffering of the Rohingya people continues.

On January 10 at around 9:30 pm, a Rohingya teenager was killed by the trigger-happy border security forces of Myanmar - Burmese Border Guard Police (BGP). He was 19 years old trying to fish in the Naff river that separates Myanmar from Bangladesh. The deceased was identified as--- Mohammed Roffique (19), son of Sayed Alam, hailed from Shweza village of Maungdaw Township in Arakan (Rakhine) state.
