The unnecessary murder of a black man in America again!

After four days, protests continue to rage in multiple parts of the country in the wake of the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died after a white police officer pinned him down with his knee. On Twitter, President Trump called on the National Guard to restore order with the statement that “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.” Twitter then tagged the tweet as promoting violence. This morning, a CNN crew was arrested while reporting on the unrest, something for which Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz subsequently apologized before appealing to the state for calm. Once again, the country is faced with painful questions of institutional racism, policing, and inequality.
