A
Chingon village resident told DVB that on October 31st, at around 10:00 p.m.,
military council soldiers arrested 37-year-old Koma Mauk Huson and 33-year-old
Kori Mulla, who came from Beda village, accusing them of smuggling from
Bangladesh.
It
is said that Ko Orimulla and his wife were arrested when they went to invite
Koma Mak Huson to have a meal with his wife, and the military council forces
confiscated 2 motorcycles and 4 mobile phones.
"The
2 of them were arrested in a car by soldiers from the Khmer 354 Battalion
stationed at Pallin Pyong Monastery. It is not yet known exactly where they
were taken through that monastery," the local said.
On
the evening of October 20th in Sittwe Township, a 15-year-old Muslim youth from
Maezali Gone Village, who was teaching goats, was reportedly shot dead by the
Military Council.
